Description

The City of Glennville is seeking the services of a firm, partnership, joint venture, or team to provide preliminary engineering services and design for the prequalified Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) Project, recently awarded to the City of Glennville by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The proposed project is to install shared use paths and sidewalks, with appropriate curbing and drainage, to allow access from the Glennville Recreation Department area located on Veterans Drive to existing areas of W. Hencart Road. It will also include a shared use path and sidewalks on the other end of W. Hencart Road beginning at SR 73 (301 N) to N. Caswell Street ending at SR 73 (301 N). Services shall include related submissions such as concept development, field surveys and database enhancements, environmental documents, preliminary construction plans, signing and marking plans, final right-of-way plans (including revisions), erosion control plans, utility plans, staging plans and final construction plans (including revisions through project final acceptance), and bid documents as deliverables. Qualified firms must demonstrate competence and experience in all areas of expertise required by the scope of services, including but not limited to civil engineering, environmental documentation, transportation planning and traffic management. Firms or teams must be prequalified by the Georgia Department of Transportation in the appropriate areas, including the appropriate area classes as listed on Exhibit I-1, Section 5 of the RFQ. Firms or teams also must be prequalified in the appropriate 1.06 subclasses to complete an environmental analysis and prepare environmental documentation in compliance with GDOT and FHWA regulations.
